Mobile Phone Carrier Settings for Orange - Jordan


Settings for Orange - Jordan

These are the settings to enable to use Data, MMS and WAP services on a mobile phone on the Orange's mobile network in Jordan.

For iPhone Manual setup :]



- Select Settings.
- Select General.
- Select Network or Cellular
- Select Cellular Data Network.

- Under Cellular Data Option
  APN: net.orange.jo 
  Username: net 
  Password: net 

- Under MMS Option
  APN: mms.orange.jo  
  Username: mmc 
  Password: mmc 
  MMSC: http://172.16.1.96/servlets/mms 
  MMS Proxy: 172.16.1.2:8080 
  MMS Max Message Size:  
  MMS UA Prof URL:  

- Click Network Tab up the top to save

For Symbian Manual setup:
Note: These instructions are very sparse. Please contact me if you have better instructions.

Depending on which model you are using, these settings may vary slightly.

Go here to automatically set up your phone via Nokia.s website.

    * To set up your mobile internet manually:

Menu > Connectivity > Destinations > Access Point > Add new Access point

You can then enter your carrier's settings for data.

    * To set up your MMS manually:

Menu > Messaging > Options > Settings > Multimedia Messaging
 
You can then enter your carrier's settings for MMS.

For Android Manual setup:
- Press Main
- Select Settings
- Select Wireless and Networks
- Select Mobile Networks
- Select Access point Names
- Delete all APN's in this section.
- Press Menu
- Press New APN
- Enter the follow settings one for General Data . The other for MMS

For Blackberry Devices Manual setup:
The method to do this may be different . If you have better instructions please contact me.

1. From the home screen click on the Blackberry Menu button
2. Then select "Options" - it usually has a spanner icon.
3. Then "Device Settings".
4. Then select "Advanced Sysem Settings".
5. Select "TCP/IP" from the list.
6. Here you will find your "APN Settings". Make sure the tick-box next to "APN Settings Enabled" is ticked.
7. Once you have done that, just below this you will see "APN:". This is where you will need to type in a setting.  Set the Following APN

APN: net.orange.jo 
USERNAME:  net 
PASSWORD: net 
 
8. Click the menu button and select "Save".


For Windows Mobile 7 Manual setup:

Click the Start (menu) button
Choose Settings from the program list
Scroll down and click Cellular
Click on the Edit APN Button

Set:

APN: net.orange.jo 
USERNAME:  net  
PASSWORD: net

For Windows Mobile 8 Manual setup:
In the App list Click Settings
Tap Cellular

Delete any existing APN Settings..

Tap "Add Internet APN"
Tap APN and type in net.orange.jo 
Tap Username and type in net 
Tap Password and type in net 
Tap Save

Tap "Add MMS APN"
Tap APN an type in  mms.orange.jo 
Tap Username and type in mmc 
Tap Password and type in mmc 
Tap WAP gateway (URL) and type in 172.16.1.2 
Tap WAP gateway port and type in 8080 
Tap MMSC (URL) and type in http://172.16.1.96/servlets/mms 
Tap MMSC Port and type in 
Tap Max MMS Size and type in  
Tap IP Type and select: IPv4v6 
Tap Save
